Caramel Apple Crisp

Caramel Apple Crisp – The best ever apple crisp!  This easy apple crisp recipe calls for granny smith apples, apple cider, and gooey caramels!  Topped with an amazing cinnamon crumble, this will be your new favorite fall dessert!

  • Filling:
  • 5 Granny Smith apples peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 Tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 Tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 Cup Apple Cider
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 4 ounce package soft caramels
  • Topping:
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 Cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 Cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 Stick softened butter


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Prepare a 12 inch cast iron skillet or 8×8 or 9×9  inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

  2. For the filling:
  3. Toss the peeled and cubed apples together with the cinnamon, vanilla, apple cider, and lemon juice together in a large bowl.

  4. Unwrap caramels and place on top of the apples.
  5. For the topping:
  6. In a medium bowl mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Add softened butter and mix well into the oat mixture with a fork.
  8. Scatter the topping evenly over the apples.
  9. Bake in preheated oven for 45-60 minutes until topping is golden brown and crisp is bubbly.
